Christmas with a View
You know you are in for a mellow predictable ride when the credits begin with “Based on a Harlequin novel.” This movie centers around Nora who tried to start a restaurant and it didn’t last in Chicago, so now she is managing a high-end restaurant back home which is an alpine ski resort town. She feels like a failure. She says this many times. Good thing she has her peppy bff Bonnie to come to her rescue.
Then the restaurant manager who is shady as hell but also very good looking hires hot celebrity chef named Shane, they (Shane & Nora) start dating, chef has fans named Janice follow him around, he warns her about smarmy manager who wants to develop some land and turn it into a parking lot.
She doesn’t believe him, they part, she spends Christmas with her mother, Vivica Fox who keeps telling her that not to worry, next Christmas you could get a partner. As if the whole point to Christmas was to get a partner. Thanks for clearing that up for me Harlequin.
She goes on sleuthing adventures with her bff Bonnie and her bff’s fiancé Clyve- pun is definitely used wayyyy to many times there, and discovers manager is smarmy. She tells manager off, her car won’t start, guess who comes to the rescues in his Tesla?
Shane’s Christmas present to Nora is to buy her a resort. Merry Christmas here are some keys. So obvi their relationship is starting off SUPER balanced. They tell each other they are in love. She no longer feels like a failure. The end.
C+ kind of boring. Christmas movies so white scale 6.
