A Movie Connected to Another Movie?!?!?!?!?!?!

Miss Me This Christmas
Wait a minute. WAIT A MINUTE!
Remember Regina from this blogpost????? This movie is about her! Filmed at the Chesterton! Literally uses some of the same scenes from “You Can’t Fight Christmas.” #mindblown Also way to save on production costs.
After I got over my mind being blown I settled in for this delightful post-divorce ride. Here we have Regina and Franklin. They have been married for 7 years, Franklin works for a music label and is out with the stars every night, Regina, despite being a star herself is jealous. Their marriage ends. The divorce goes through, and will be final on Christmas- also their anniversary.
She moves in with her friend at the penthouse at the Chesterton.
Down the hall is Ulysses. He meets Regina and is smitten. Meanwhile Franklin's ex is all over him. Regina and Franklin have several run ins and each of them wants the other back but instead they end up dating the people pursuing them.
Ulysses after a week of dating proposes. #fastmover
Except when he proposes, Franklin and his ex are at the hotel and peek out of the window at that very moment. So she says yes after seeing her ex kiss his ex. Not the greatest reasoning there rebound McRebounderton.
Here is a bonus- her bff who she is living with dates all genders! HOORAY FOR THIS IN A HOLIDAY FILM! And she talks about it like it is no big deal- because it is no big deal. But representation is.
So Regina and Ulysses go to dinner, and she realizes he knows nothing about her. CAUSE YA BEEN DATING FOR A WEEK.
Then she goes and gets drunk and feels sorry for herself.
Followed by sitting on the floor outside her room and receiving sage wisdom from the bellhop. Who says: “If you believe in love then its gonna guide you to where you want to be.”
Then they all get all fancy schmancy for the Christmas Eve party.
Franlins ex- who is kinda witchy calls Regina up to the stage to sing. She mournfully walks up.
Side note- someone calls me up to sing I would need vocal warm ups first. Regina doesn’t. Because that’s how she rolls.
She sings an upbeat tune about being heartbroken at Christmastime.
She goes to the bar. We have another scene that happens in BOTH MOVIES. My mind is blown again.
She ends things with Ulysses, he understands. He is a good guy, who maybe shouldn’t have proposed to someone who wasn’t divorced yet.
Regina gives an epic apology/break up convo. I would like her to handle my next break up.
Franklin asks her to dance, they realize they have been fools. They go back to his apartment, the bell tolls at midnight, they are divorced. He proposes, she says yes. HIP HIP HOORAY LOVE FOUND A WAY!
